1984.7-1985.7 天津大学内燃机专业,硕士研究生。
1985.8 获英国文化协会和中国政府技术合作奖学金赴英国留学。
1985.9-1989.9 英国利兹(Leeds)大学博士研究生,获博士学位

1992.10-1994.2 在英国伦敦帝国理工学院任研究员
1994.3-至今 在英国布鲁耐尔(Brunel)大学历任讲师,高级讲师,Professor

 主要学术成就、奖励及荣誉:
在国际会议和刊物上发表论文80多篇,两次获得了英国机械工程学会和能源学会的最佳论文奖,其中EI和
SCI检索的40多篇。出版了一本专著250万字《内燃机燃烧测试和诊断技术》(由美国汽车工程师学会SAE出版)。目前正承担着国家海外杰出青年基金项目,国家973课题,以及欧共体(EU)第五及第六框架科研计划、英国工程与自然科学研究委员会(EPSRC)及多家汽车公司及石油公司等多项科研课题。
